i used blackberries here as they were in season but you can do this with strawberries,raspberries,blueberries,mountain or loganberries. just use a cheese cloth to strain off the seeds and keep the juice. add a little Pomegranate juice to add more robust flavor. have fun experiment. will last up two weeks in the fridge or place in freezer safe container and freeze up to 3 months. just place in fridge to thaw.

4 cfresh blackberries or raspberries

32 ozpomegranate juice
How To Make blackberry or raspberry grenadine

1Pick the blackberries Rinse in cold water (repeatedly, until clean) Simmer (with 3 cups of water) in a medium saucepan over low heat (for 10-15 minutes) Carefully mash the blackberries to extract all the juice Strain the liquid into a measuring cup, using cheesecloth (to remove all the seeds and skins) Carefully pour the liquid back into the saucepan,add pomegranate juice let simmer 10 more minutes and slowly add 2 cups of sugar Simmer over low heat again (for 10 minutes longer), and stir slowly until all the sugar is dissolved and liquid thickens Let cool
