Ingredients For almond milk-homemade

1 corganic raw almonds

3 1/2 cfiltered water plus extra for soaking overnight

1/2 tsppure vanilla extract

1 pinchsalt, optional

1 or 2 tspgood honey , optional for sweetness
How To Make almond milk-homemade

1Place almonds in a medium bowl and cover with some filtered water. Let soak overnight. Drain almonds and rinse off with clean water. Place drained almonds in a blender and add the 3 1/2 cups of filtered water.

2Blend on high for 2 minutes, or until liquid becomes white and milky.

3Place a clean white linen towel or 2 white paper towels in a strainer over a large bowl. Pour blended liquid, a little at a time, into the towel. Keep pouring slowly until all the liquid has passed through.( If using linen towel twist to get all the liquid out.)For paper towels use a large spoon to gently press out all the liquid in the pulp. SAVE THIS PULP FOR BAKING OR OTHER RECIPES.

4Pour the liquid milk into a glass jar or pitcher. Add vanilla, salt and honey if using. Shake or stir before each use. Keep refrigerated. Will keep up to 4 days in refrigerator. Thanks Jillee of OneGoodThingByJillee.com
