Ingredients For almond milk-homemade

  • 1 c
    organic raw almonds
  • 3 1/2 c
    filtered water plus extra for soaking overnight
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch
    salt, optional
  • 1 or 2 tsp
    good honey , optional for sweetness

How To Make almond milk-homemade

    Place almonds in a medium bowl and cover with some filtered water. Let soak overnight. Drain almonds and rinse off with clean water. Place drained almonds in a blender and add the 3 1/2 cups of filtered water.

    Blend on high for 2 minutes, or until liquid becomes white and milky.

    Place a clean white linen towel or 2 white paper towels in a strainer over a large bowl. Pour blended liquid, a little at a time, into the towel. Keep pouring slowly until all the liquid has passed through.( If using linen towel twist to get all the liquid out.)For paper towels use a large spoon to gently press out all the liquid in the pulp. SAVE THIS PULP FOR BAKING OR OTHER RECIPES.
