yummy essentials: sweet oat milk
This is great as a drink, or for use in cooking and baking. I made a few changes to the basic recipe, to make it a bit sweeter, but not overly so. The container I put it in are some old glass milk bottles from Weiler dairy that I found under the older part of the house. The box said they were from the Weiler dairy in Madison, Wisconsin… Not sure how they got to Wichita. If properly stored in the fridge, it should last a week, and if drinking, it is best served ice cold. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

How To Make yummy essentials: sweet oat milk
-
1PREP/PREPARE
-
2You will need a blender or immersion blender to make this recipe.
-
3Gather your ingredients (mise en place).
-
4Add all of the ingredients to a blender and allow to sit for 20 minutes.
-
5Blend on high for about 30 seconds and then strain into a bowl.
-
6The amount of time you blend will depend on your blender. I am using a Vitamix, and 30 seconds is more than enough to get these ingredients blended.
-
7Store in the fridge until needed.
-
8PLATE/PRESENT
-
9Use it in cooking and baking… It makes an excellent vanilla ice cream, or just pour it cold into a glass and drink. Enjoy.
-
10Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
