Tea is the wine of the south! Served with every meal. My mother used to make it by the gallon and we drank it all day long. Of course I had to be different, I don't like sugar in my tea. I think sugar messes up the tea flavor.

1/4 tspbaking soda

1 csugar

How To Make southern sweet tea

1Bring 3 - 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the baking soda, then the tea bags.

2Remove from heat and cover. Allow to steep for at least 15 minutes.

3Add about 1 cup water to gallon jar. Then add sugar and stir until it is dissolved.

4Fill the jar with cold water. Serve over ice.
