I have been looking for a way to bring some mint into my hot cocoa or coffee without spending money on extracts or things I normally do not have. Well, thin mints I love to keep in my freezer and now I have something to do with them besides eat them all.

Ingredients For peppermint cappuccino

  • 1
    thin mint cookie (quartered)
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 c
    hot strong coffee
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • chocolate shavings (optional)

How To Make peppermint cappuccino

    In a microwave-safe mug place peppermint pattie pieces and milk. Microwave at HIGH 20-30 seconds or until candy is melted and smooth when stirred. Stir in hot coffee until mug is almost full. Top with whipped cream, and shaved chocolate if desired. Serve immediately.

    This same idea can be used with your favorite prepared cocoa mix. Just melt the candy in with a little of the cocoa liquid (milk, water) or some of the prepared liquid just put in a mug. Gives it the right amount of mint taste!
