We all need to drink more water, at least 8 glasses or more a day. Sometimes it is just hard to do, especially if that craving for a soda or ice tea hits you! You could always drink flavored water, but those pre-packaged bottles of water always leave me with the feeling that something is missing. Here is a recipe to make your own refreshing and delicious flavored water. It makes 8 1/2 cups. I make it by the pitcher, and when it is gone, I know that I have my quota of water for the day. Use whatever combinations you wish. Try some berries for fruit flavored water. Enjoy!

1 tspfresh peeled and grated ginger

1This water is so refreshing and delicious. It goes down smooth so for those of us who have a little problem getting those 8 glasses down, that is a good thing! Change it up however you wish to what you like. This is one of my favorites.

2Use a glass pitcher, preferably like the one I used that has a small opening in the spout. That will prevent the fruits and vegetables from pouring into your glass. Store the pitcher of water in the fridge.

3How to make the water: Add all the ingredients and water to the pitcher and stir. I just leave the mint leaves on the stem. Chill in the fridge for about an hour and ENJOY!
