I like a fresh tasting iced tea in the summer but I am sensitive to too much caffeine. You could add sugar or another sweetener if you like. I am reducing carbs in my diet and I find ithis tea doesn’t need to be sweetened. You could reduce the caffeine even more by using decaf tea if you are very sensitive to caffeine. Zero calories and refreshing taste - all good.

Ingredients For cool and delicious iced tea beverage

  • 2 bag
    english breakfast tea (spritely flavour)
  • 2 bag
    green tea (for health)
  • 4 bag
    lemon zinger tisane (crisp tang)
  • 8 c
    boiling water

How To Make cool and delicious iced tea beverage

  • 1
Pour boiling water over the tea bags in a 2 quart (or 2 liter) container that is safe with the heat.
  • 2
Allow to steep for however strong you want it. I steeped it for 20 minutes. Remove the tea bags and allow tea to cool before putting it in the refrigerator.
  • 3
If you want to drink it hot, put a few ice cubes in a cup and pour the tea over the ice cubes. (This is to dilute the tea a bit and make it cooler for drinking).
  • Served topped with mint from my balcony garden

After the tea has cooled in the refrigerator, pour over some ice cubes in a glass. It is very refreshing.
