I had Wassail when in PA, and it was very good. Don't know where mother in law found this, but had to save it since I remember how much I enjoyed it!

Ingredients For wassail, sandy

4 cwater

2 1/4 csugar

2cinnamon sticks

8allspice berries

10cloves

1/2inch piece of ginger

4 corange juice

2 clemon juice

2 qtapple juice
How To Make wassail, sandy

1Combine sugar and water in large pot. Boil 5 min. Remove from heat and add spices.

2Cover, keep warm 1 hour, then strain out the spices. Add juices and return to a boil. Then serve warm.
