This recipe has been around for years. Though there are many versions they are all basically the same. It is know as Russian Tea, Friendship Tea, Christmas Tea and to many more to mention. I picked the name I like the best. Since, I've traveled & spent time in Russia on 3 different occasions one thing I know for sure is Russian's LOVE THEIR TEA as do I. You are served tea no matter where you visit in that beautiful country & it's a most memorable event. This Americanized version of tea is deliciously fruity with a slight spiciness & reminiscent of apple cider as well. Hope you enjoy.

I made these jars to share at a monthly foodie swap. The ladies loved the tea. I made up a batch in my coffee pot at home and mixed it up well so cinnamon candies would melt and then poured into my carafe. --- These make wonderful gifts as well & I look forward to making another batch soon.
