This is a family recipe I enjoyed so much as a child. Many people use Tang and instant tea, and that's great in a pinch, buy this is so much better! Keeps in the fridge about a week. To reheat, pour some in a mug and microwave. Or you can reheat slowly on the stove.

Ingredients

  • 3 - oranges
  • 2 - lemons
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 to 3 - cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 3 quarts brewed tea

How To Make russian tea

  • Step 1
    Brew tea per instructions with cinnamon sticks and while cloves. Remove spices and tea bags.
  • Step 2
    Juice the oranges and lemons.
  • Step 3
    In a medium sauce pan, slowly heat the juice with the sugar, stirring constantly until it looks clear. Pour heated juice into hot tea and stir until blended.
