Have I mentioned that I adore hot chocolate? It's wonderful and this is another amazing way to enjoy it. For non=alcoholic just use hazelnut syrup in place of the Frangelico.

Ingredients For pumpkin hazelnut hot chocolate

  • 2 c
    milk (any kind)
  • 2 Tbsp
    dark cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 c
    pure pumpkin puree
  • 2 Tbsp
    frangelico liqueur
  • 1 sm
    pinch of kosher salt
  • sweetening as and if desired
  • whipped cream for topping
  • more pumpkin pie spice and ground or finely choped hazelnuts - optional

How To Make pumpkin hazelnut hot chocolate

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients in a sauce pot over medium heat. Whisk and bring to a simmer.

    Pour into mugs once hot and top with whipped cream.

    If desired top with a light sprinkle of more pumpkin pie spice and ground or finely chopped hazelnuts.
