Since it's introduction at the Shannon Airport, in the late 70's this recipe has become an international favorite. It makes a VERY satisfying drink. How could they go wrong, using Irish whiskey!! I cut out this recipe from a magazine in 1977. Back then I did not save the magazine,or had the internet,so I do not know which one it was saved from.......just another one in my huge box of saved recipe's.. for the last 60 plus years! Ingredients For irish coffee at the shannon airport in ireland

  • 1-1/2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1
    jigger irish whiskey = (1-1/2 oz.)
  • hot, strong black coffee
  • chilled whipped cream
  • 1
    heated , stemmed, clear irish whiskey glass

How To Make irish coffee at the shannon airport in ireland

    In a heated glass stir in the whiskey and the sugar. Pour in the hot coffee to within 1 inch from the top. Then top with the whipped cream. Do not stir. Makes 1 serving. Sorry about the picture...I had to install a new battery to my camera, and the whipped cream started to melt. It still tasted good! Sit back sip and enjoy!
