Ingredients For hot cider nog

  • 2 1/2 c
    half and half
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    apple cider
  • 2
    large eggs
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/8 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/8
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    bourbon (optional)
  • 1/2 c
    whipping cream, whipped

How To Make hot cider nog

  • 1
    Whisk together the first 8 ingredients in a heavy saucepan
  • 2
    Cook over medium low heat , whisking occasionally, until mixture thickens and coats a spoon...about 15 minutes

    Stir in bourbon (optional)
  • 4
    Garnish with whipped cream ( I use Cool Whip :) ... )

    Use cinnamon sticks to garnish , as well
