Ingredients For hot buttered rum

  • 2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 3
    cinnamon sticks
  • 6
    whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg, ground or whole
  • 2 qt
    hot water
  • 2-3 c
    rum

How To Make hot buttered rum

  • 1
    Place all ingredients in a 4 quart crock pot.Cook on high for 2 hours then on low for 3 hours.Let sit 15-20 minutes.Serve.Caution extremely hot. Not for children
