In the Middle East and Turkey, green cardamom powder is used as a spice for sweet dishes as well as traditional flavoring. In Arabic, cardamom is called al-Hayl. South Asia green cardamon is often used in traditional Indian sweets and in tea, or chai, a common ingredient in Indian cooking, and is often used in baking in Scandinavia. However it is used I gravitate toward this soothing spice. This tea a great pick me up if you are feeling a little down.

Ingredients For cardamom tea

  • 4
    cardamom pods
  • 4
    black peppercorns, whole
  • 1 stick
    cinnamon
  • 3 slice
    ginger, quarter slices
  • ADDITIONS
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • milk

How To Make cardamom tea

  • 1
    Place all ingredients in 2 1/2 cups of water, heat, but do not boil, for half an hour and strain.

    Add honey and milk. Enjoy!
