I just love summer and all the wonderful drinks we use to try and cool down. I hope you enjoy this really pretty, sangria, it's a family favorite, to which I add extra fruit. We enjoy the addition of pear and raspberries in this delicious White Summer Sangria.

Ingredients For summer sangria

1/2 cwhite sugar

1/2 ctriple sec (or other orange liqueur)

1/2 cbrandy

2 bottle750 ml chilled, dry, white wine

1 bottle750 ml chilled club wine

1 ccantaloupe ball, or chunks
-
1 choneydew melon, ball or chunks

1/2 cthinly, sliced lemon
-
1/2 cthinly, sliced lime

1/2 cthinly, sliced oranges

1 csmall, strawberries, left whole, no leaves

1thinly sliced pear (optional)

1/2 cfresh, raspberries (optional)
How To Make summer sangria

1In a large chilled pitcher, combine the sugar, orange liqueur, brandy and white wine.

2Cover and refrigerate for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

3When ready to serve slowly stir in club soda to taste.
