(Pomegranate Molasses and Orange Juice). From 'Cooking at the Kasbah'. Another recipe I simplified. The original recipes uses fresh pomegranates. I like the flavor of pomegranate but not the texture of the fresh fruit. Have you ever prepped a pomegranate? Not fun!

Ingredients For an easier hassir romman b'limmoun

1-1 1/2 Tbsppomegranate molasses, to taste (replaces 1 fresh pomegranate)

1/2 cfiltered water

1/2 cfresh orange juice
-
1 tsporange flower water, to taste (start with a small amount)

sugar, for sweetening, to taste (tested with local honey)

very small pinch of ground cardamom or ground cinnamon

ice cubes
-
sprigfresh mint or fresh lemon verbena
How To Make an easier hassir romman b'limmoun

1Add ice cubes to a glass. Combine the pomegranate molasses, filtered water, orange juice and orange flower water in the glass. Stir in sweetener and if desired a very small pinch of ground cardamom or ground cinnamon.

2Serve over ice cubes and add garnish of fresh mint or fresh lemon verbena.
