The people of North Africa caught onto the concept of ice a very long while back. This is something that is enjoyed today. Prep is time for brewing tea and squeezing the juice is not given ad the tea needs to be chilled and that can be done as far ahead as you like.

Ingredients For north african summer tea

  • SINGLE SERVING
  • 1/3 c
    chilled green tea (gunpowder is prefered), no added sweeteners (home brewed is best)
  • 1/2 c
    freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 c
    pure pomegranate juice
  • 1
    lemon wedge
  • 1
    orange slice, garnish
  • ice
  • ENOUGH FOR THE FAMILY
  • 2 c
    chilled green tea (gunpoeder prefered), no added sweeteners (home brewed)
  • 3 c
    pure pomegranate juice
  • 3 c
    freshly squeezed orange juice
  • orange and/or lemon slices, as needed

How To Make north african summer tea

  • 1
    Combine chilled tea and pomegranate juice in one glass, add a few cubes ice and pour in orange juice. Squeeze lemon into drink.

    This drink is especially pretty if you do not stir when pouring the orange juice. Add an orange slice to the side of the glass for garnish.
