This is a popular recipe used by many German families to make homemade sparkling apple cider. It's lighter than pure apple juice and it has fewer calories, so it's particularly popular in the summertime. You can use apple juice or apple cider, and it's equally delicious. You can also use bottled Club Soda or Seltzer (unflavored) for the carbonated base.
