We love Chai tea and it's so much cheaper to make your own. This is my version of a lightened up Chai! Enjoy!

Ingredients For ~ a lighter chai ~

4 cwater

1large cinnamon stick
-
1/2 Tbspwhole cloves
-
8 bagblack tea bags
-
1 csilk ( coconut milk ) - or can use whatever milk you like

1/2 csugar
-
cinnamon& whipped cream for garnish - optional
How To Make ~ a lighter chai ~

1In a medium saucepan, add water, cinnamon stick, cloves and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer, covered for 10 minutes.

2Add milk, sugar and bring to simmer again, add the tea bags and remove from stove. Cover and let steep for 2 - 3 minutes.

3Strain the tea bags, cinnamon stick and cloves.

4Serve in preferred mug with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Yum! So good!
