I love chocolate with coffee and even more so with a little spirits (liqueur) added! I am just a mocha kind of a girl. Enough said. This is how I make my 1 cup mocha delight. Easily increased to more servings. If you cannot find the rum and coffee liqueur, substitute coffee liqueur.

  • 1/2 c
    strong, hot coffee
  • 1 tsp
    unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 2 Tbsp
    (1 ounce) chocolate liqueur
  • 2 Tbsp
    (1 ounce) rum and coffee liqueur
  • 2 Tbsp
    (1 ounce) warmed half-and-half
  • 2 Tbsp
    (1 ounce) whipped cream
  • additional cocoa for sprinkling

    In a large mug, stir coffee, cocoa, the chocolate liqueur, rum and coffee liqueur, and half-and-half. Stir well to combine. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkling of cocoa. Serve while hot.

    To fancy it up for guests (or just yourself!), drizzle chocolate syrup over whipped cream.

    Note: for iced spiked mocha; mix all ingredients and allow to cool. Serve over ice.
