I've been making this recipe for over 30 years for my family at Christmas. Everyone loves it!

Ingredients For wonderful wassail

  • 2 qt
    apple cider
  • 1 pt
    cranberry juice
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    aromatic bitters
  • 2 stick
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, whole
  • 1 sm
    orange, studded with whole cloves
  • 1 c
    rum (optional)

How To Make wonderful wassail

  • 1
    Place all ingredients into a Crock Pot. Cover and cook on High for 1 hour, then on Low for 4 to 8 hours. Serve hot. Makes about 12 cups.
