sue's italian margaritas
(6 ratings)
If you love margarita's I am sure you and your friends will enjoy this recipe. My husband and I have margarita nights when we will invite a friend or two. One batch is not enough so I usually will double it. REMINDER: This is my recipe and you will not find it anywhere else including here on the internet or any book. Sit back and enjoy...
Blue Ribbon Recipe
This refreshing margarita has citrus undertones and is the perfect mix of sweet and sour. It's actually a little on the sweet side. Amaretto is a special touch and gives this typically Mexican drink a little Italian flair. If you use the ingredients Susan recommends, you'll have the perfect cocktail. Cheers!

How To Make sue's italian margaritas
-
1HINT:#1 Do NOT use any other lime juice or soda other than listed. You will not get the awesome taste of my recipe. I tried it and it doesn't taste good. HINT:#2 The recipe above is enough for 2-3 drinks depending on the size of glass used. I usually double the recipe that way you will have more for refills.
-
2Mix together the first 5 ingredients in a blender. (If you double the ingredients then pour out half into a pitcher or you will have a mess.)
-
3Add a couple large handfuls or a little more of ice cubes and blend/crush.
-
4You will have small chunks of ice which is good. (If you doubled the recipe then repeat the process.)
-
5Place margarita salt onto a small plate and wet the rims of your glass with the margarita liquid or water.
-
6Dip into the salt.
-
7Pour your drink. Sit back and enjoy how easy it goes down.
