Need a wonderful light, crisp and refreshing cocktail to serve to your friends and family before a big holiday dinner? Give this fall inspired Sangria a try. I served this last year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Add a special touch by serving in small canning jars, rimming with cinnamon/sugar and using both red and green apples at Christmas. Everyone loved the change of pace from our usual red or white wine offering. That extra special touch that your guests are sure to enjoy! Quick and easy, too.

In large pitcher combine all ingredients. Stir well. Serve over ice and garnish with apple slices and optional cinnamon sticks. For an added touch, you can rim the glasses with a cinnamon/sugar mixture. Simply add a few pinches of cinnamon to 1/4 cup of sugar. Then wet the rim of the glass with apple cider or, for a thicker rim, use white corn syrup. http://mixthatdrink.com/how-to-rim-a-glass/
