Ingredients For peach-basil margarita

  • 3 lg
    fresh basil leaves; plus small sprigs for garnish, if you like
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz
    (2 tbs.) peach liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz
    (3 tbs.) silver tequila
  • 1 slice
    ripe peach

How To Make peach-basil margarita

    Put the large basil leaves, lemon juice, and peach liqueur into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass; crush with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon for about 10 seconds to release the flavor from the basil.

    Add the tequila and enough ice cubes to fill the shaker 3/4 full, then stir for about 20 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, and garnish with the peach slice and basil, if using.
