The Mind Eraser is a classic pub cocktail made with Kahlua, vodka and Club Soda. It's quite easy to make, and they're quite tasty and can be addicting. So beware that after a few of these, you might be forgetting what ails you. The Mind Eraser can easily be made it into a "shooter" by reducing the amounts of each alcohol and soda to 1 ounce each, and layering them in a shot glass without ice.

Ingredients For mind eraser

  • 2 oz
    kahlua (coffee liqueur)
  • 2 oz
    vodka
  • 2 oz
club soda (tonic water or lemon-lime soda can be used as a substitute, but club soda is traditional)
  • several
    ice cubes

How To Make mind eraser

  • 1
Add ice cubes to a short Old-Fashioned glass (or rocks glass). Pour the Kahlua over the ice cubes.
  • 2
Slowly pour the vodka over the Kahlua, pouring slowly so the two alcohols separate into different layers.
  • 3
Slowly pour the Club Soda over the vodka layer. Don't stir, just let the liquids be. Add a straw, and serve immediately. NOTE: The liquids should separate and form into different layers, if pouring was done slowly enough. (But don't worry if it doesn't layer correctly though, because it'll still be quite tasty anyway).
