We LOVE gin. Many people don't. I developed this recipe for those who aren't "in love" with gin because it capitalizes on the piney flavor of the gin and refreshes at the same time. It's a lovely summer-sitting-on-deck drink.

Ingredients For lime gin rickey

  • 4 jiggers
    dry gin (i use tangueray)
  • 2
    limes, juiced
  • ice
  • 1 Tbsp
    refined sugar
  • tonic water
  • 2
    lime wedges

How To Make lime gin rickey

  • 1
    In a shaker, combine gin, juice and sugar. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to dissolve the sugar.

    Fill two highball glasses 3/4 full with crushed ice
  • 3
    Pour shaken mixture into two glasses.
  • 4
    Add tonic water to fill glasses. Stir vigorously.
  • 5
    Garnish with lime wedges. Serve.
