Part of my cookbook To serve any hot punch in a glass bowl, first heat the bowl by pouring warm, NOT HOT, water into it. Let stand until hot punch is ready. Pour water out and pour hot punch in slowly.

1 Tbsporange zest

1/8 tspsalt

How To Make hot punches and cups

1Combine all ingredients, except cinnamon sticks, in agate or enamel kettle over medium heat. Bring to a boil and turn off heat. Let mixture stand 2-3 hours. Strain mixture and reheat. Add cinnamon sticks to each mug.
