In my notes I have that the total amount of rum used for the full mixture is 24 oz. rum. So if you make for many, then I would have a big pot of boiling water! 12 cups of water will probably be more than needed. Suspect though that most will just enjoy a cup and refrigerate the rest until another night for another cup.

Ingredients For hot buttered rum
- THE MIXTURE TO REFRIGERATE--KEEPS SEVERAL DAYS

1 stickbutter, melted

1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon light brown sugar

1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon white sugar

1 cvanilla ice cream
- WHEN READY TO DRINK

2 Tbspof the butter mixture

2 ozrum or a jigger

How To Make hot buttered rum

1To drink: Place 2 tablespoons of mixture in a cup & add 2 oz. jigger or Rum. Fill with boiling Water.
