It really is easy to make. Can't remember where I found the recipe and knowing me, I ended up doing it my way. So, you can do it your way, now that you know the essential ingredients. 1 Vanilla Beans, can be used in lieu of the vanilla extract, but be sure to strain it after 6 weeks. You can double the recipe. I use instant Nescafe.

COOKING PART: Mix Water & Coffee Crystals. Heat & stir until coffee & sugar has dissolved. Cool to room temperature.

NOT COOKING PART: Once cooled, add the Vodka & Vanilla Extract. Pour into bottle of choice. (i have used an old syrup bottle for this). Cap it. And let it sit for at least 6 weeks, if you can. Store in a cool, dark place. Not the fridge. Pantry or a cabinet should work. I don't think I ever had to strain this version of Kahlua.

NOTE: If you find it too sweet, then next time add less sugar. If not sweet enough, then next time add more. I doubt you will think its not sweet enough. Seems like I prefer the less sweet.
