It wouldn't be Christmas without my grandfather's eggnog. This is not for the faint of heart. Its smooth and creamy deliciousness hides a powerful dose of whiskey! You may run into Santa after a few of these!! Cheers! And remember, don't drink and drive.

Ingredients For great grandad's eggnog

6eggs, separated

3/4 csugar, divided

1 ptcream
-
1 ptmilk
-
1 ptwhiskey (Four Roses is best)

1 ozJamaican rum

freshly grated nutmeg
How To Make great grandad's eggnog

1Add the egg whites to a small mixing bowl and whip until stiff peaks form. Add 1/4 cup sugar to the whites and gently fold to combine.

2In a separate bowl, add the remaining 1/2 cup sugar to the egg yolks and beat until light.

3Mix the whites with the yolk mixture in a punch bowl. Stir in the cream and milk. Add the whiskey and rum. Stir thoroughly.

4Serve cold with grated nutmeg.
