I came up with this awhile back. Wow, it's good! Time to make will be much less for subsequent cups when the syrup is pre-made.

Ingredients For cinnamon rum latte, diabetic
- SYRUP

1 tspsplenda sugar substitute or to taste

1/2 tspcornstarch (up to 1 tsp depending on how thick you want it)

3/4 tspcinnamon

1/2 cwater
-
1 1/2 tspmalibu rum (coconut flavored rum)

1 tsplemon juice
- LATTE
-
8-10 ozhot fresh coffee (brewed to your liking)

1 ozsyrup
-
skim milk
-
cinnamon, for sprinkling
How To Make cinnamon rum latte, diabetic

1Place all dry syrup ingredients in a saucepan and wisk to incorporate. Add the water, rum and lemon juice and wisk again.

2Heat till thickened while whisking and remove from heat shortly after it begins to bubble.

3When syrup is made add 1 oz (or to taste) to your cup.

4Add coffee and mix.

5Add milk to taste and stir or froth milk for top. Enjoy.
