This was a cocktail recipe in the Food Network magazine (July/August 2016) in a article featuring 4th of July recipes. It sounded refreshing, and the deep blue hue of the drink does make it a great choice for 4th of July celebrations.

Ingredients For blue lagoon cocktail

  • 1 1/2 oz
    coconut rum
  • 1 oz
    blue curacao
  • 1/2 oz
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    sugar, or to taste
  • ice cubes
  • 1/2
    orange slice, for garnish
  • 1
    pineapple chunk, for garnish
  • 1
    maraschino cherry, for garnish

How To Make blue lagoon cocktail

    Prepare the garnish first by adding an orange slice to a cocktail umbrella skewer. Next, add the pineapple chunk and then the maraschino cherry; set garnish aside.

    Combine coconut rum, blue curacao, lemon juice, sugar, and a few ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until very cold, then strain into a short glass with fresh ice cubes.

    Add the fruit garnish, and serve immediately.
