Created in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the 1950s, this is a longstanding classic. While it can be made with a variety of rums - dark, aged, spiced, white, coconut - you can use a combination of whatever rums you like.

Ingredients For blended piña colada

1 1/2 ozcoconut cream (such as coco lopez)

1 1/2 ozpineapple juice (see note below)

1 ozaged rum

1 ozcoconut rum

splash coconut milk, optional
-
pineapple wedge, garnish
How To Make blended piña colada

1Combine all the ingredients in a blender cup. Add 1 cup of ice. Blend on High until smooth.

2Pour contents into a tiki glass or tall glass. Garnish with the pineapple wedge.

3Note: Use canned pineapple chunks instead of pineapple juide. It's thicker and more flavorful.
