This is the most decadent dessert I've ever made. I'm asked all the time to make it for parties.

Ingredients For yummy peach trifle

  • 1 can
    (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
  • 1 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 1 pkg
    instant vanilla pudding (4 serving size)
  • 2 c
    whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/4 c
    plus 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 6 c
    angel food cake cubes (about 10 oz.)
  • 1 1/2 lb
    fresh peaches, pared and sliced or 1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1/2 c
    red raspberry preserves
  • toasted sliced almonds and additional preserves

How To Make yummy peach trifle

    In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix; beat well. Chill 5 min. Fold in whipped cream and 1 tbsp orange juice.

    Place 3 cups cake cubes in 3-4 qt. glass serving bowl. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp orange juice. top with half the peaches, 1/2 cup preserves and half the pudding mixture. Repeat layering with remaining cake, orange juice, peach slices and pudding.

    Garnish with almonds and preserves if desired. Chill thoroughly. Refrigerate leftovers.

    At the grocery store I go to they make large angel food cup cakes. I take these and cut them in pieces, it works real good.
