This was another one of my mom's favorite summertime delights! Use your favorite flavor of pudding! We loved banana and of course I loved chocolate! It's quick and easy to put together! Enjoy!

- INGREDIENTS ARE LISTED BELOW IN THE RECIPE. THIS IS HOW MOM'S RECIPE WAS WRITTEN.
How To Make surprise layer dessert

1Take one stick of butter and 1 1/4 cups of flour, blend until mealy. Add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. Pack into a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

2While cooling, whip together, softened 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 of a large container of Cool Whip. Spread gently over baked crust.

3Take 2 boxes (3.4 oz) of Jello Instant Pudding, (your choice of flavor, we loved banana!) USING ONLY 3 CUPS OF COLD MILK. Whip and pour over cream cheese layer.

4Chill for 20 minutes. Top with remainder of the Cool Whip, and chill. (decorate the top with extra chopped nuts) Enjoy! This is a treat!
