I created this for Italian Night at our church. It was sooo good!!! Thanks to hindsight, I recommend making another pan uswing decaf coffee and using the mudslide ice cream for kids. My friend's kids were still running strong at midnight that night!!!

Ingredients For shawn's tiramisu ice cream creation

  • 1/2 gal
    mud slide ice cream or coffee ice cream softened enough to spread
  • 1 pkg
    flower shaped butter cookies divided
  • 1
    container cool whip thawed
  • 3 pkg
    or the equivalent of 3 cups of cappuccino mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    instant coffee granules or 1 cup of strong hot coffee
  • 1 c
    mini chocolate chips

How To Make shawn's tiramisu ice cream creation

    WHILE ICE CREAM IS SOFTENING, HEAT ONE CUP OF WATER OR USE THE HOT STRONG COFFEE. IF USING THE WATER, MIX IN THE COFFEE GRANULES AND CAPPUCCINO MIX, STIRRING UNTIL ALL IS DISSOLVED. IF USING THE HOT COFFEE, MIX IN THE CAPPUCCINO MIX TIL DISSOLVED. SET ASIDE TO COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE. COARSELY CRUSH HALF THE PACKAGE OF COOKIES IN A ZIP LOCK BAG. IN A 9 X13 PAN, LINE THE ENTIRE BOTTOM OF THE PAN WITH THE WHOLE COOKIES. DRIZZLE COOKIES WITH 1/2 COFFEE MIXTURE. TOP COOKIES WITH THE ICE CREAM. TOP ICE CREAM WITH COOKIE CRUMBLES. DRIZZLE WITH 1/2 OF THE REMAINING COFFEE MIXTURE. FOLD THE REMAINING COFFEE MIXTURE INTO THE COOL WHIP. TOP DESSERT WITH THE COOL WHIP. SPRINKLE MINI CHOCOLATE CHIPS ON TOP. FREEZE TIL READY TO SERVE-- AT LEAST 3 HOURS.
