This sould be a staple in homes like it use to be. Didnt have alot of money, but ALWAYS had some kind of left over bread. Chickens gave you eggs, and cow gave you milk. If you where blessed, you had a few herbs or spieces. (At least " Thats what my MaMa said") This is what you can do...

    cubed bread
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    milk or half/half
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • SET OVEN TO 350F

    I large bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and vanilla; until well blended

    Add bread pieces, and carfully toss egg and bread mixture together.

    Soak mixture for 10-30 min. All pieces sould be well coated and saturated.
