Ingredients For mum's stove-top rice pudding

3/4 cminute rice

1/4 cwhite sugar

1 pinchnutmeg or cinnamon (optional)

1 1/2 cmilk

3/4 csun-maid raisins

1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make mum's stove-top rice pudding

1In a pot, add and cook all the ingredients (except vanilla) till it comes to a boil, stirring occasionally.

2Remove pot from heat and stir in vanilla. Cover pot until moisture is absorbed and pudding is creamy (about 5 mins).

3Serve warm. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg. Add a scoop of vanilla ice-cream or by itself.(I like to add a little milk to mine instead of ice-cream) - makes 4 small servings
