Mrs. Wood was one of my favorite church ladies during my teen and young adult years. Besides being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is also a fine cook. She shared this recipe in our church cookbook. When I made this pudding for my family, they immediately asked when I would make it again. Mrs. Wood is now a widow, but I always think of her and her dear husband when I make or share this recipe. I have updated the original recipe a bit for clarity. When I make this, I often use reduced-fat cream cheese, milk, and Cool Whip.
