Once you have had homemade pudding you will never want any other kind. This is a recipe my mom always made for our family. I have made some slight changes.

Ingredients For homemade vanilla raisin pudding

  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 c
    nonfat milk
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 3/4 c
    raisins

How To Make homemade vanilla raisin pudding

    Combine the first 6 ingredients in a pan using a whisk making sure there are no lumps.

    Add the raisins. Cook the pudding on medium heat until it thickens, stirring constantly. The pudding is done once it thickens.

    Remove from heat and add the vanilla. Mix well. Pour individual servings into dessert bowls. So the pudding does not form a skin on its surface, place plastic food wrap on the surface of the pudding.
