Ingredients For helen's bread pudding

  • 4 c
    bread, white
  • 2 c
    scalded milk
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 4
    eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    raisins

How To Make helen's bread pudding

    Soak bread in scalded milk for 5 minutes.

    Add sugar,butter,and salt.

    Add beaten eggs and vanilla and mix well.

    Fold in raisins and mix well.Can add more raisins if you'd like.

    Pour into greased baking dish.

    Put a pan of water on bottom rack under bread pudding.

    Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour until firm.
