I remember my Grandma making this recipe when I was little. It is so creamy and delectable. There is nothing better than food to bring back those sweet memories.

Ingredients For grandma's rice pudding

2 cwater
-
1 carborio rice
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1 Tbspbutter
-
3 chalf and half
-
1 csugar

1cinnamon stick

1piece lemon peel
How To Make grandma's rice pudding

1Bring water to a boil in pot, add rice, salt and butter. Cover, lower the heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes.

2Remove rice mixture from pot and put into double boiler. Add half and half, sugar, cinnamon stick and lemon peel. Cover and cook 45 minutes. Remove lemon peel and cinnamon stick.

3Pour rice mixture into a shallow 2 Qt. casserole and allow to cool. Rice mixture will thicken as it cools. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Enjoy!
