Our family had a food business and made lots of sandwiches. My mother-in-law used to save all of the heals from the bread and would make bread-pudding. It was a favorite then and I now serve it at my Bed and Breakfast, and it is still "a favorite".......hope you enjoy.

Ingredients For grandma's bread pudding

1 lbloaf bread or equivalent of bread pcs.

2 tspvanilla

1 1/4 csugar

4eggs
-
4 cmilk
- VANILLA SAUCE

1 csugar

1 stickbutter
-
2 Tbspcornstarch

2 tspvanilla

1 cboiling water
- GREASE A 9 X 13 INCH PAN
How To Make grandma's bread pudding

1break bread into pieces and put into pan. beat 4 eggs well: add sugar, milk and vanilla. Blend well and pour over bread. Push bread down into egg mixture. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until brown.

2Make sauce while bread pudding is cooling. Mix sugar and cornstarch, add to 1 cup boiling water. Cook until it thickens. Remove from heat. Add 1 stick butter and 2 tsp vanilla. Stir until blended. Spoon over pudding and serve.
