Ingredients For english bread pudding

16 sliceday old, firm textered white bread

2 1/4 cmilk

1 pkgmixed dried fruits or mix of dried apricots, cranberries & raisins

1/2 cchopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

1 mdapple, cored, peeled and chopped into pieces

1/4 cmelted butter

1/3 cbrown sugar
-
1egg slightly beaten
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
1/4 tspcloves (optional)
How To Make english bread pudding

1Tear bread into 1" pieces. Place in a well greased crock pot or baking dish. Pour milk over the bread and let soak for 30 mins.

2Stir in dried fruits, nuts and apple pieces.

3Combine melted butter, brown sugar, egg and spices in a small bowl. Pour over the bread & fruit mixture. Stir to blend.

4Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours in the crock pot or 300 degrees for 2-3 hours. Just watch and check periodically.
