a southern twist on bread pudding! (not my recipe but a dear friends) it was a passed down family recipe so alot of it is eyeballing and just having been in the kitchen when it was made. I've had it and it's delicious, I also know someone on this site was looking for a cold biscuit pudding recipe so i hope this helps!!

Ingredients For cold biscuit pudding

left over biscuits
-
milk, enough to cover biscuits

sugar, enough to sweeten

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or 1 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup of butter

1/2 cup of raisins or golden raisins (optional)
- CHOCOLATE SAUCE

1 Tbspall purpose flour
-
1/2 cgranulated sugar
-
2 Tbspcocoa powder
-
1/2 cmilk
-
1 Tbspbutter
How To Make cold biscuit pudding

1Crumble biscuits in a bowl. Add just enough hot milk to cover. Let stand about 10 or 15 minutes.

2scramble eggs in a bowl.

3Mash biscuits well. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla extract or nutmeg and butter.

4Pour into a black cast iron skillet and bake at 325 degrees F until done. Baking time will depend up on the size of the pan used.

5For chocolate sauce: Place all ingredients except butter into a saucepan, and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Add butter, and stir just until butter melts. Serve over hot Biscuit Pudding.
