this is one of my Money Cook's Saver Easy everyday cooking Recipes I have that sits in a plastic recipe container I've made this one at least 2 times and it's excellent in every way and actually very quick and easy to make and put together. It's chocolate whats not to like about chocolate. Yum yum.

Ingredients For cocoa-almond pudding treat

  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar divided
  • 1 c
    wholewheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    pure almond extract
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 c
    boiling water

How To Make cocoa-almond pudding treat

    Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F. Grease a 2 quart baking dish. Combine 2/3 cup sugar, flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl.

    Add oil, milk and vanilla and almond extracts to flour, mix well. Spread batter in prepared baking dish.

    Combine cocoa and remaining sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle over batter.

    Pour boiling water over batter; do not stir.

    Bake until top looks cracked and crisp about 30 minues. Let cool slightly; server warm
