-
1/3 ccornstarch
-
1/8 tspsalt
-
2/3 ccocoa
-
4 cmilk 2% or whole
-
3 Tbspbutter
-
1 tspvanilla
How To Make chocolate pudding
-
1In large saucepan sift together brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and cocoa.
-
2Whisk in the milk until combined. Turn heat to medium/medium low and continue whisking and stirring. Whisking for a nice smooth lump free pudding. Stirring to keep anything from burning or scalding on the inside bottom corners of the saucepan.
-
3Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.
-
4Continue stirring every couple of minutes until cooled to prevent a skin from forming. Serve warm or chilled. Before chilling lay a piece of plastic wrap right on the top of the pudding. This helps keep the pudding from forming a skin.
-
5Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container.
