Ingredients For cherry french bread pudding

2 cmilk
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
3eggs
-
1/3 csugar
-
2 tspvanilla extract

4 cday old french bread, cut into 3/4 in cubes

2 canqueen anne cherries (drained)

1/4 tspsalt
-
2 Tbspcornstarch
-
cinnamon, mixed with sugar

whipped cream, sweetened (optional)
How To Make cherry french bread pudding

1Heat the milk and butter until hot but do not boil. Set aside.

2Beat eggs, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla and salt together.

3Gradually add the milk to the egg mixture.

4Pour over the bread and let stand 30 minutes.

5Spread cherries over the bottom of a 9" buttered square pan.

6Pour the bread mixture over the cherries.

7Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

8Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until tester in center comes out clean.

9Cool slightly and serve with whipped cream, if desired.
