I am using this sauce in both my Butterscotch Pumpkin Oatmeal and Butterscotch Pumpkin Monkey Bread from Scratch recipes. But you can use it in anything you like, even atop ice cream. I was thinking of adding a cup to my Banana Chocolate Chunk Bread batter.

Ingredients For butterscotch pumpkin sauce

1 stickbutter

1 cdark brown sugar

1 Tbspscotch (optional)

1 Tbspvanilla extract

1/2 cheavy cream or whole milk

1 pinchsalt

1 canpure pumpkin (15 oz)

1 Tbspground cinnamon

1 tsppumpkin pie spices
How To Make butterscotch pumpkin sauce

1In a saucepan, add butter, brown sugar, and scotch.

2On medium heat, whisk continually until the sugar is totally melted.

3Add vanilla.

4Add cream. Continue to mix. Lower heat to low/medium.

5Add pumpkin, salt, and spices. Mix well.
